Silvermouse is a live electronic and instrumental act, part of the burgeoning electro-acoustic genre in the United States. The duo – made up of electronic musician Miss Jojo and multi-instrumentalist Justin Handley – merges together traditional and progressive music forms in an experience bordering on psychedelic, dubbed ‘Earth Trance’.
The electronic beats and and soaring, spacey pads and vibes evoke Goa trance, breakbeat, mellow-to-sometimes-banging techno and downtempo drum and bass. Miss Jojo creates, loops and mixes all live while Justin Handley brings instrumental mastery to the mix, playing, looping and layering flying improvisational textures on a variety of instruments, mainly guitar, violin, mandolin and flute.
The band lives and creates in Madrid, a small town in the desert south of Santa Fe, NM. They have been touring extensively in the UK and the southwest and west coast US, playing high profile electronic music festivals and live music venues, and are currently working on their second album.
